[Ugly is the new black]

Hey guys. I actually created this account a long time ago, but never had a chance to really dig in and get involved. I'm living in Australia at the moment, and had wanted to start up an Iron Heroes game, but I couldn't drum up enough interest. But as it happens, my wife and I have decided to move back to the States, and I've been planning an IH game to play with my friends when we return next week.

And so I decided that now would be a good time to hop back on here and see what I can do to get involved. I've always really liked the flavour of Namea, and I've actually borrowed bits and pieces here and there for my own growing game world. Anyway, I'd like to get involved in a game if there's one going and there's room. What would I need to do to get involved?

I've been playing D&D for a while now (I'm about to turn 24, and I've been playing since I was like 16), but I've never actually played Iron Heroes. I tested it out with a small group once, but I've never had a chance to really play it. So yeah. How should I go about this?

Thanks for the interest! Yeah, the last campaign kinda petered out with some players (and myself) getting too busy to keep it going. Which is a shame because I really liked where things were going but I began taking on more freelance work on top of my regular FT job and just haven't had the time to try and start it up again. That said, things are beginning to ease off for me again the last couple of months and I've been thinking about what I should try next...

Your best bet right now to find an IH game is probably the Monte Cook's boards. But with 4e coming out, and with all the talk of it being easy to convert to a low magic game, I think it's going to be increasingly tough to find players for it. I've been toying with some ideas for converting Namea to a LM 4e game down the line (as well as some ideas for a Greyhawk game) but from what I've seen it might be difficult to do in a PBP format. I may sit in on someone else's game for a while and see how practical it is to do.

If I do decide to fire the game up again in the summer, I'll be sure give you a shout.
